Success Doesn't Happen Over Night

So.....
I wanted to drop my career timeline to help motivate some that may feel like giving up.
Social media suffocates reality and makes us feel like we only have to post our highlights. Now if you're anything like me...you live in silence and private. I know it's not always "cool" to post when you're down or while you're waiting for your next big break.... But lets face it - -We are all trying to figure this thing called life out. No one has the perfect story.
A lot of people have asked me how did I become a officer or what route did I take? Let me start with saying .... NONE of this happened over night. Here's my military career breakdown.
2013 -Left for bootcamp
2014 -With less than six months of service I left for my first deployment
Deployment shook and stretched me beyond my thoughts and human strength.
2015 - Started workups and air exercises for my second deployment
2016 - Ran into some medical issues because of my job.
2017- I asked the Navy if I could take sabbatical leave to go to Bible College
36 months of sabbatical leave granted!!!
2019- Submitted my first officer’s package.
2020 -Commissioned as a Naval Officer
I share my story because I want to motivate others. No where in that time line did you read about my failures, insecurities, doubts and challenges - - I faced all of that plus some!! I'm so thankful that I was granted time to take an extended sabbatical so that I could go to school but that doesn't mean that it was a cake walk. While this program provided me everything that I needed - - I also had to be my own advocate and stand on my own ten toes. I had to learn everything on my own. Everything was happening faster than what I could keep up but I was determined not to give up! There were days when I didn't know what was going to happen next or how I was going to make it.

Trust me....life got mad real!
Through it all... my problems were never bigger than God’s plan.
If something has never been done- - maybe it’s on you to get it done.
Success doesn’t happen over night!
Results won’t come instantly!
You are your own limit.
Adversity produces character.
Character produces development.
Use your voice to speak up for what’s right.
You won’t have what you desire if you don’t go after it. If they don’t hear you the first time - - say it again!!
P.S - - “I’m following God so I ain’t got no Plan B”
